My husband, 2 year old son and I are taking our first vacation together the first week in September. We are going to Myrtle Beach. Is this a fun, family spot for a vacation? Thanks!

   it is lovely i was there in 1995 and september is the perfect time

   My parents bought a condo in Myrtle Beach (deertrack resort) when i was about 9, and owned it until they had to pay for my college tuition (bless them!) at 18. We went at least once a year since, and every vacation was fantastic. There is SO much to do with children of all ages there; there are great shows at night (definitely check out the carolina opry; it’s a country-ish revue, and i love it even though i abhor country music!) TONS of mini-golf courses, great beaches with excellent waves for bodysurfing, etc., lots of neat tourist attractions such as a place called Grand Prix where kids can race all different sizes of go-karts and adults can drive real forumula 1 cars around the track, giant labyrinths to navigate, great restaurants, etc…..

   In short, I wholeheartedly recommend it. There’s a ton of things to do, the weather is typically great, and best of all it is SUPER CHEAP compared to lots of places you can go, especially during the off-season. I think you will be very pleased!

   Yes! I go there at least three times a year and am always filled with fun things to do. If you are staying at a hotel resort there is always tons of activities to keep the kids busy. Also there is a ton of shopping places like Barefoot Landing and Broadway at the Beach. i hope you have fun

   Myrtle Beach is a great family spot. I like to go to Broadway at the Beach and the Ripley’s Aquarium and go miniature golfing. When i go to there I like to stay at the Dayton House. It is a great family friendly place. they have like 3 pools and a lazy river, and like 3 hot tubs.

   Yes, it is a great place for a family vacation. It is very affordable and you will find lots to do, even with two year old in tow.
